Staying connected in a workplace doesn’t require long meetings. People are more likely to problem-solve quickly when working cooperatively. Just a few simple, fun activities can make day-to-day teamwork enjoyable.

Life’s activities don’t always have to be large-scale fun. Regular opportunities for colleagues to meet and get to know each other’s strengths can be set up through small activities. If you want to improve collaboration within your company, here are fun ways to consider:

      • Create Shared Challenges
      • Create More Interaction with Meetings
      • Celebrate Team Success

      Turn Teamwork into a Game

Games can help workers develop an understanding and appreciation of how their coworkers think. Choose a problem-solving challenge that will offer people from across the departments an opportunity to collaborate. If creativity is going to be required, then team-building activities Calgary can also be useful to bond and communicate outside of the office culture for a fun time.

    • Create Shared Challenges

Having a shared challenge gives employees something good to strive for collectively. Teams can compete against each other to work on something they like to create within a designated time limit, for instance. Don’t allow competition to take a heavy toll, and focus on teamwork instead of allowing only the winning team to win.

    • Create More Interaction with Meetings

If everyone is a spectator at the meetings and there’s only one speaker, it can become dull. Try to make them more interactive with short brainstorming sessions. Subtle changes can make a huge difference. Not to mention, it can prompt quieter staff members to speak up.

    • Celebrate Team Success

Celebrating group successes can help to make collaboration meaningful. Rather than applaud individual efforts. Don’t just recognize when a team member was able to assist another team member. Share information and solve a challenging problem collectively. Short notes of appreciation, team recognition, or a shared overall celebration of the team’s effort can emphasize to all involved that “we all count”.

    • Build a Culture of Open Communication

Collaboration doesn’t just rely on the ability of individuals to voice their ideas. It also depends on opinions and questions to each other in a safe environment. This can be promoted by leaders listening to others carefully and accepting their feedback in a positive manner whilst not blaming them for making a mistake the first time around. By empowering workers to contribute valuable insight and assistance to their colleagues, they foster trust in the value of their contributions. By giving employees the right to provide valuable information and support to fellow workers, they build up trust in the value of their contribution.

In conclusion, this is not an expensive workplace collaboration program or a politically correct social gathering. Also, this is not a workplace collaboration program that costs money or a workplace social get-together that’s about being politically correct.

Teamwork can be more enjoyable and productive by being a simple game, a shared challenge, an interactive meeting, and genuine recognition. Organizations that encourage a collaborative, inclusive environment for communication, engagement, and achievement will foster more effective teams and get the job done.
